Sittichoke Chawraingern is Lecturer in Medical Anthropology at the Faculty of Sociology and Anthropology, Thammasat University, and a PhD candidate at the University of Wollongong, Australia.
He has conducted anthropological research on community responses to natural disasters, as well as cultural and health risk in Thailand. He has published on anthropology, health administration and training tools for community disasters management in Thailand. As member of the AMIS programme in Thailand Sittichoke conducted ethnographic following fieldwork, with a specific focus on antimicrobial—microbial relations using a multispecies and chemo-anthropology approach. His doctoral research is exploring the impacts of antibiotic resistant and global health policy on Thai pig farmers.
