Eleanor MacPherson is a Post-Doctoral Qualitative Researcher with more than a decade of experience working in Southern, Eastern and West Africa. She has worked on a range of diseases including HIV, TB and schistosomiasis, exploring the broader societal drivers of ill health, and with a focus on gender and intersectional theory.  She works for the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and is currently based at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust in Blantyre Malawi. For the FIEBRE study she will be overseeing ethnographic field work in the rural district of Chikwawa, which will explore fever classification and the ways antimicrobial use is embedded in life and livelihoods.
