Department of Anthropology Rutgers University
Joyce Lu is an MD/PhD candidate in Anthropology at Rutgers University. She is interested in how epistemologies of health, bodies, and care intersect with the processes and politics of race and space-making. Her current research follows the unfolding of antimicrobial resistance as an epidemiological event in the western highlands of Guatemala, tracing the social life of illness at the limits of modern biomedicine amongst families, healers, and scientists in peri-urban communities.
More information on Joyce and her work is available on her institutional profile.
